Our offices

As licensed psychologists Dr. Cerda and Dr. Sniffin combine 40 years of clinical experience working with diverse populations and clinical issues. It is our mission to provide excellent and ethical psychotherapy and psychological assessment services to the Central Valley of California.

We work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services that span from therapy for depression and grief counseling to parenting support, couples counseling and beyond. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, we offer a highly personalized and knowledgable approach tailored to each clients individual needs.

Jennifer is the welcome and genuine smile greeting our patients at Cerda Sniffin Psychology Group. Our patients love her, and it is well deserved. She is attentive, professional and kind when interacting with patients whether it’s billing inquires, scheduling, concerns or general questions. Jennifer is often the first contact for new patients, other health care providers, government agencies and she manages all with her genuine interest and generous foundation of knowledge. Jennifer has over 20 years experience in management, insurance coding, billing, patient scheduling, and problem solving. Her daily activities are focused on assisting our patients and our clinicians.

Denise D. Sniffin, Psy.D

Dr. Sniffin, a lifelong resident of Fresno County, observed a mental health system that was struggling to meet the needs of the area’s diverse population and community. She entered the mental health profession with the goal of providing ethical and excellent mental health services to a diverse and multicultural community and to train new mental health clinicians to do the same. This continues to be the driving force behind Dr. Sniffin’s approach to the treatment and care of her patients.

Dr. Sniffin’s theoretical perspective is person centered, collaborative, insight oriented along with cognitive behavioral interventions to address cognitive distortions and maladaptive beliefs that are undermining an individual’s quality of life. She has extensive clinical experience with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, trauma, medically compromised conditions, life phase and end of life care.

Karen Craft, Psy.D

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Craft is a licensed psychologist in the State of California and has been working in mental health since 2004. She describes her ideal client as someone who desires positive and constructive change in their personal, work, and/or relationship areas of their life. She has been described as caring, direct, and compassionate. Dr. Craft uses various evidence-based modalities in her work, and she tailors her interventions to each individual. Her therapeutic modalities include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT). She practices a collaborative approach with her clients, where together obstacles are identified that stand in the way of quality of life. Dr. Craft is experienced working with military members/dependents, victims of crime, survivors of trauma, child abuse, domestic violence (both survivors and abusers), and sexual assault for over ten years.

Claudia E. Cerda, Psy.D.

A native of Los Angeles, CA, Claudia Cerda, Psy.D., Q.M.E is a first-generation, bilingual Spanish- speaking clinical psychologist. Licensed in 2000, Dr. Cerda brings over 22 years of clinical experience to the therapeutic alliance. Originally specializing in children and families with complex trauma and mental health conditions; psychotherapy has been provided to individuals across the lifespan with positive outcomes, restoring people to productive functioning and a stable mental health status within their family, social and occupational lives.

As a Qualified Medical Examiner since 2007 she provides her expertise and professional opinion about the nature, extent and likely cause of an illness or injury that is the subject of a workers compensation claim.

Identity-affirming evidence-based care and assessments are also specialty areas of psychological assessments. Additionally, Dr. Cerda has been qualified as an expert witness in Federal, Immigration, Criminal, Family and Juvenile Court proceedings.

Dra. Lopez Turner

Psychological Assistant

Dra. Lopez Turner joined CSPG in March 2023. She is a Spanish-speaking Licensed Clinical Psychologist with more than a decade of experience providing psychotherapy, group therapy, and psychological evaluations to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her clinical background includes extensive work with mood disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions, personality disorders, trauma, and LGBTQ+ populations.

Dra. Lopez Turner approaches therapy through a psychodynamic and person-centered lens, integrating evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and psychoeducation to support clients in achieving meaningful and sustainable change.
